Miss Lina & Miss Priscilla

LP Dance Company was founded by two sisters who have a strong passion for dance and have always dreamed of sharing that passion with others at

their own studio.

 

Miss Lina & Miss Priscilla have been dancing since they were 3 years old and have been teaching dance for 20+ years. They have trained in various styles of dance including, but not limited to, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Street Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, and Contemporary. They have choreographed for several competitive teams and have received various awards and recognition for their skills and creativity. 

 

Outside of teaching dance, Miss Lina is NYC Department of Education Dance Educator and Miss Priscilla is a NYS licensed pediatric Occupational Therapist. They are looking forward to incorporating their knowledge, education, and skill set into their dance classes.

 

Miss Lina has been trained and certified by Dance Education of America (DEA) specializing in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Lyrical, and Tap. She also attends three Citywide Professional Development courses through the Office of Arts & Special Projects every year. She has put on over 30 performances for parents and their families. Miss Lina has received various awards for her pieces during dance competitions, including Ultimate Choreography, Ultimate Crowd Pleaser, multiple special judges awards and has won 1st place overall in The Ultimate Challenge for several of her pieces. Miss Lina uses her dance training and teaching skills to build a rapport with her students and families, and trains each individual child based on their strengths and needs as a dancer. 

 

Miss Priscilla has trained in various styles of dance alongside highly trained dance professionals. She was also a member of the St. Joseph University's Dance Team, where she had the opportunity to choreograph as well as perform at many events in Brooklyn, in places such as the Barclay's Center and Citi Field. Priscilla has entered her creative pieces into many dance competitions and has received numerous awards and recognition such as, Ultimate Emotional Execution, Ultimate Crowd Pleaser, Ultimate Entertainment, Best Precision, and many first place overall prizes for her choreography. Miss Priscilla is also a NYS licensed pediatric occupational therapist. As an OT, Priscilla understands the importance of individualistic development of the human body and is able to incorporate her knowledge into training students of all abilities in dance.

 

LP Dance Company strives to create a safe, welcoming, fun, and family-oriented environment for all students of various ages and abilities. Miss Lina & Miss Priscilla are so excited to bring their style and passion to the neighborhood and community they grew up in, and to share it with all of their new students!

 Traci LaDuca

Traci LaDuca attended Point Park University focusing on jazz and musical theater. She moved to NY and was chosen to be a Radio City Rockette in 2002. After touring with the Rockettes for 4 years, she performed at Radio City Music Hall until 2024. During her time there, Traci was an Assistant Dance Captain, swing, and a Dance Captain/ Assistant Choreographer for 5 years. She has led auditions, taught for Rockettes Summer Intensives, and assisted in the teaching and staging of the Christmas Spectacular.

 

In 2020, she created Exactitude Dance, a precision dance studio in Industry City, Brooklyn, with preprofessional/ professional precision focused workshops, classes, and seminars. Since then, she has had over 30 students hit the great stage at Radio City Music Hall. She has choreographed for the Chelsea Market “Market Spectacular”, various holiday tree lightings and events, and most recently was the choreographer for “The SunKicks: Home for the Holidays” at the Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre in Florida.

Kendra Ayala

Just like Miss Lina and Miss Priscilla, Miss Kendra was engulfed in the dance world at an early age. Miss Kendra is a certified dance instructor through Dance Educators of America (DEA), trained in all areas of dance. However, her heart lies in the art and expertise of ballet. Miss Kendra has been happily teaching ballet to all ages for over 10 years.

 

Apart from teaching dance, Miss Kendra is an employee of NYC’s Department of Education, where she teaches various levels of high school mathematics and computer science classes.

 

Miss Kendra has grown up dancing with Miss Lina and Miss Priscilla. She is excited to be teaching beside them and honored to be part of the LP dance family!

Jailene Perez

Jailene Perez has had a passion for dance since she was 4 years old. She has trained in styles including Hip hop, Jazz, Contemporary and more. She is currently a student at New York University studying Biology and Dentistry. At NYU she is a board member on the Pulse Dance Project team where she choreographs and facilitates showcases. Most of her training comes from being a part of BOSS Kids NYC under of direction of Jona Biddle. She has also choreographed for many artists and has been in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and worked on choreography for the Kidz Bop tour. She has been a student of Miss Lina and Miss Priscilla for many years and she is so excited to be teaching at LP!

Kyla Owen is a NYC-based dance artist, choreographer, and fitness professional from Cody, Wyoming. She holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University and is a NASM nationally certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, now teaching across NYC. Since moving to the city she has been a part of the Health & Wellness team at The Joffrey Ballet School, supporting and training their dancers to build career longevity. She has served 2 years on faculty with The Tallahassee Ballet, choreographed for and performed in several large-scale productions, and was President of The Dance Project at FSU, bringing accessible dance education to underserved communities. This is Kyla’s first season with LP Dance Company and she is so excited!

Samantha Terzulli

Miss Samantha has had a passion for dance from a very young age. She danced competitively from the age of 9 and is trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, lyrical, hip-hop and tap. For High School, Miss Samantha attended Frank Sinatra School of the Arts where she trained classical styles for four years. Miss Samantha was also a member and captain for the Brooklyn Cyclones Beach Bums for four years as well as a dancer for the New York Cosmos Girls. Miss Samantha has been sharing her passion for dancing with students for 10 years. 

Aside from dancing, Miss Samantha spends her days as a Pre-K Teacher for the NYC Department of Education, molding the little minds of the future. Miss Samantha is very excited to continue her journey at LP and c
annot wait for another great year!
